Germany is beautiful. I'm having a bit of trouble recalling this day, Bob just told me to ask myself "WWXD" - What Would Xoth Do? Good question. I know if Xoth was doing this stuff, it'd be a lot more concise and organized, while also being more thorough at the same time. Okay so this really hasn't helped too much.
So let's see, sleep was good. I woke up still feeling a bit ill but quickly took more pills. Actually, I should note that Shinjuku had woken me up about an hour earlier to let me know he was evolving. Great.
Okay, so I woke up kind of late, got shit together, and decided to go to the dealer's room with Bob. Pretty much everyone else had already left for the exhibit hall or were in prepartion to head there. First we got some breakfast downstairs, saw some kid with a huge mom complex trying to get his cosplay outfit on. "Moooooommmm! I CAN DO IT MYSELF." goodtimes.
Headed towards the dealer's room. Spent a few hours there actually, but found absolutely nothing I really wanted to buy. It's kind of bumming me out, since I usually spend a majority of my time in the dealer's room trying to decide how to maximize my money to get me the most swag; this year I'm just trying to figure out if I even want to buy anything. I guess I shouldn't complain, less money spent is definetly a good thing but really, when I'm bored with the exhibit hall I really am not interested in any of the live programming during the day and thus I really don't have too much of a reason to be at the con (didn't I come to this conclusion in the first place, anyways?)
Bob pointed out that mikey from oh mikey was in the [insert company's name here] booth. That was, odd. I had an interesting conversation with the girl who was working there "with him", she basically told me how much she hated mikey and expressing how shitty the series was and confusion as to why anyone would watch it. I like people like that, who are hired by a company to promote a product and then they shit on it towards me, the consumer. I'm not being sarcastic, I actually think it's awesome, and I wish more people were just like "fuck all the shit that my company produces."
Moving on, I had always wanted the entire set of Azumanga Daioh DVDs, so I decided that I should definetly get that. And so, I did. Very happy with my purchase, although somehow I got gyped out of one of the lapel pins (I didn't even know I was supposed to get them until afterwards, but still my volume 3 pin was missing). Went back to the room after purchasing the Azumanga set, and watched some random Azumanga. Goodtimes. After watching one whole DVD, ended up going back downstairs, it was about 4:30 at this time. I was pretty hungry for lunch. Nearly everyone was back in the room by this time. at this time. this time. time. . Yeah, I'm tired, my writing is getting bad. Anyways...
Found nothing to eat outside, and nothing reinterested me downstairs, and then I ran into Bob, so we headed back up. Just got in as some Anime of Leland's was starting up, although sadly at this hour I can't remember the name, it was pretty good. I don't remember much from this point, I busted out my mp3 player and just sort of fell asleep for a few hours.
Woke up around 7 when Jesse, Jason, Bob and Paul were planning to go to Del Taco for some eats. I <3 del taco, so of course I was down for that shit. Walked there, had some chicken soft tacos, and was totally having a goodtime. On the way back, stopped for the traditional shakes at Jack in the Box. Hmm...yeah, not too terribly exciting, sorry guys.
Head back, Bob, Jesse, and I decided to head to AX Idol to see if we could get in. Of course we could because of course it was dead again as it has been for every year since it started. Overall it wasn't bad, a lot of laughing at terrible monologues and wishing that the judges were trained to be a bit more mean to the contestants, because, you know, that's what makes these "_____ Idol" shows worthwhile. Also, since AX Idol has the qualifying rounds now, they screen out a lot of the terrible people which kind of sucks, because that's also a lot of the fun of the Idol shows, to see terrible people. Look how far that "She Bangs" (William?) Hung guy got.
Let's see, when they were done and the judges went to tally their scores, shitty martial arts group came out. "Never use your powers except for self defense etc etc" except that a ten year old kid in the group just attacks an older dude for no reason at all. Great fucking training. The dancing and choreographing (I'm probably spelling this shit wrong but totally not spellchecking it right now ok) were good, don't get me wrong, but almost none of this shit qualified as "martial arts". It was more like amateur asian-themed wrestling. Although that one asian chick in the mint green outfit, okay, she was pretty entertaining to watch and I personally think that she should have won AX Idol to be quite frank.
Of course, the judges chose shitty people once again (they passed over a spanish guy, I mean, come on, what the fuck) so Bob and I walked out. Jesse stayed because when it comes to main events Jesse always has to do the exact opposite of what I do. Fucker loves Crispin Freeman, for some reason.
Came back to the room, played meteos, tired. Way tired. Probably why this post is kinda, umm...lacking energy. Sorry kids. Just wanted to get it out of the way before I forgot it and also if I put off one day I would probably put them all off. The second day was better than the first overall, I'd have to say, but less exciting specific events occured, which probably made this post a bit more boring.
A few things to note from the FFML-AX Dictionary (or Wikipedia LOLOLOLOL COCKS!):
1) Lax - yes
2) Sna - no
3) [...] with braces - [...] would appear younger and thus hotter to da pedo crowd
4) Cha Cha Cha Chiyo - new marketing gimmick for Azumanga Daioh incorporating Chiyo and Chia pets. Created by Arty okay just so I mentioned him here since I felt bad.
5) I know I'm forgetting something here but probably ok I'm tired ok shit.
Pic of the day:

"He's creeping me out, I'm really kind of scared to be here next to him."

1 Comments:
Actually, if I was doing this it'd be 5-6 months after the convention. And there would be a bit less profanity. ^_^
(But seriously, good work.)
